SOLD - John Dickson & Son Round-Action, made in 1902
12 Gauge, patent triggerplate action, side-by-side shotgun

This is one of the finest Round-Actions we have been able to offer. The gun is in excellent condition throughout with the earlier full coverage Sumner fine scroll engraving and 'John Dickson & Son' 'Patent' banner engraved on the sides of the action. The action is the later post 1900 style with no indicators, the fuller detonators, narrow ribanded fence, but the pre-1900 lockpin in the toplever and earlier safety button shape. The gun is fitted with a well-figured stock with a small extension, which remains in great condition, and the steel barrels have excellent measurements on their original proof marks.
Provenance
Delivered as a single gun to a Jute Baron from Dundee in October 1902. The gun was subsequently re-sold by Dickson's in 1927 to an Admiral in the Royal Navy as a gift for his sons 21st Birthday, and remained in that families ownership until now.
