SOLD - John Dickson & Son Round-Action, made in 1901

12 Gauge, patent triggerplate action, side-by-side shotgun

We are very pleased to offer this beautiful Round-Action, from the 'Golden Years' of Round-Action manufacture. The gun is in excellent condition throughout with the heavier scroll engraving with 'John Dickson & Son' 'Patent' banner engraved on the sides of the action. The action is the later post 1900 style with all its attributes - no indicators, the fuller detonators, narrow ribanded fence and double-ramp safety button. The gun is fitted with a very well-figured stock, which remains in great condition. The original damascus barrels have been sleeved and measure as the day the were proved. To prepare the gun for sale, we have conducted a full service, strip and clean, cleaned and polished the wood and re-blacked the barrels.

Provenance

Delivered as No. 2 gun in 1901 to match an earlier gun made in 1900.
